Saw this on 8/3/16.
Terrific acting from Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway can't salvage the film from its fucking cliched feel good routes nor from the boring girlish Devil Wears Prada routes. The film does have a lot of its moments and some fast pacing, but every time the film focuses on dresses and cosmetics, it hits rock bottom. The leads have terrific chemistry, but the overly treacly ending is an eyesore.
