Review of The Insider (1999) by Rebecca L — 17 Jul 2008
OK this is in my Top 10 too, even though that makes it my Top 11. Again, Russell Crowe is brilliant and deserved the Oscar for this movie. Pacino was great too. The story hits very close to home for me because my father, a longtime smoker who tried to quit but couldn't, died at 63 of lung cancer.
In my opinion, Jeffrey Wigand is one of the most courageous people out there. The movie also gives a pretty interesting look in to the business of TV journalism.
