Review of The Insider (1999) by Misscatastrophie . — 09 Mar 2009
The Insider is a really solid thriller / drama. Al Pacino and Russell Crowe do their work well and Michael Mann's directing is solid as usual. The screen-play is well written and even if running more than 2 and half hours, it still can manage to keep you interested all the way.
Worth mentioning are also the realistic and authentic visuals, but this is obviously Mann's trademark, too. The first half is still better than the second half, but all in all it's a good movie and can easily be recommended.
