Review of The Innkeepers (2011) by Jack B — 01 Oct 2012
It is masterful in so many ways but no doubt very slow building for some tastes. The Innkeepers is directed with a want for character, script and slow burning Horror by a director slowly becoming the master of his favoured genre.
The Innkeepers may not end with as great a bang as it could (epilogue is gimmicky) but the film is well constructed, immaculately directed and when the Horror kicks in, brilliantly effective. Ti West's haunted Hotel Horror may just be the Horror of film 2012.
