Fantastic character piece with a standout performance from Matt Damon as Mark Whitacre. Like all good stories this one gets more and more interesting as Mark's quirks becomes more outlandish.
Damon has rarely been better, and the supporting cast is filled with great character actors (always good to see Bakula!).
It's sad, it's funny, and it's got a great, bouncy score by Mancini. And Damon's random thoughts are both hilarious and oddly perceptive. Just great!
