Review of The Informant! (2009) by Jim M — 12 Oct 2011
True story of Mark Whitacre a VP at ADM (an agri-business company) who became the highest ranking corproate whistleblower in 1992 when he revealed to FBI Agents ADM role in a multi-national price fixing cartel involving business in Japan and South Korea. Whitacre begins taping these meetings for the FBI but the investagation is threatened when its revealed Whitacre has embezzeled over $9 million dollars and his lies become more frequant.
Good performance from Matt Damon as Whitacre. Little long and don't let people tell you its a comedy it isn't. Scott Bakula was goos as one of the FBI Agents. Recommended for Damon fans or for any interested in the shady side of the Corporate Culture.
