Review of The Informant! (2009) by Craig W — 23 Aug 2010
This movie was ... interesting. Pretty much an inner dialogue with Mark Whitacre as he struggles with demons (metaphorically both mental and physical, I suppose). The most interesting part of the movie is the running commentary that Mark gives, but this wears away and you realize that there is still an hour and a half of the movie left to watch.
It's just too long, and nothing /really/ happens. It's an interesting story, sure ... and oftentimes real life is more complicated than a movie script, but The Informant tries to be locked in the middle of the two.
Real life with fiction add-ins. It was just too much.
