Review of The Informant (2008) by Rameshwar N — 20 Jun 2011
I like Matt Damon a lot. I usually like he's choice of films too but The Informant is one movie on his CV that I think most people will forget very quickly.
This is a hard film to give a synopsis to because it's a complete mess.
I'm not sure if it's because the story is complicated or if it becauses I lost interested very early on.
Matt Damon tries his best while playing the strange businessman Mark Whitacre and at times it's quite interesting but the problem is that Director Steven Soderbergh has made a film that does not know if it's a comedy or a serious piece of drama, in the end it turns out to be neither.
The Informant could have been so much better if only the director had been on his A game.
