Review of The Informant (2008) by Paul W — 25 Apr 2013
"The Informant!" tells a story that is so preposterous and revolves around a central character that is so odd, its only excuse for claiming plausibility is that it is actually true. I remember following this story in the papers and being bewildered at the result.
It's almost as bewildering to watch the part of the story that was hidden from view at the time now unfold on screen. The ending is frustrating, and as with real life, lacks the just resolution you want.
That's the problem with life, though. It seldom gives you a Hollywood happy ending. It's a fun little movie, though, about a funny little man.
