Review of The Incredibles (2004) by Theapplegnome — 09 Aug 2015
The Incredibles is a classic, family friendly Disney-flick that stands on its own as a great movie. Great visualization and animation, smart and very funny and of course slick as it is a super flick! The plot is very well written and the characters are greatly expressed. But the villain is just a big cliché. There’s no real understating behind him, no feeling either. He’s just another evil-jealous villain. There’re also bad and classic stereotypes throughout the movie, a real concern in my opinion, since Disney is a global phenomenon today. The Incredibles are also not that entertaining as what I expected to see, can’t really pinpoint why but there are just so many superhero-movies nowadays so the old ones feels just old I guess. There are on the other hand many funny moments that both kids and grown-ups can enjoy and many of them are indeed highly rememberable.
