Review of The Incredibles (2004) by Vectis99 — 24 Oct 2018
An entertaining family movie which, although funny and pretty, is held back by a confusing and unfortunate message about the role of natural talent compared to effort. This is overwhelmingly present throughout the movie, although the extent to which it is intentional is unclear.
The show does better at providing an entertaining narrative which doesn't reflexively place the idea of the nuclear family on a pedestal.
