Review of The Incredibles (2004) by Voodoo123 — 19 Jun 2018
Iconic imagery mesh together with Giacchino's wonderful score like cogs in a well tuned clock. The story comes across as a sort of family friendly watchmen, imagining what goes on between the pages of our favourite comic book heroes watching them deal with everyday issues (albeit with a super powered twists and turns).
Wonderful voice cast excel here. Pacing is perfect and the nods to 1960's james bond esque cinematography are excellent. I understand being a disney film this isnt likely but I only long for a more adult rating for the world at times, so the screenplay could be licensed to more wholly engage darker aspects of the storyline.
