Review of The Incredible Melting Man (1977) by Kara W — 22 Feb 2011
An entertaining but ultimately cheesy and stupid body horror film that is basically described in its title. While it sounds like a 50s film, The Incredible Melting Man is actually from twenty years later when apparently special effects were better but plot development remained virtually the same.
Lot of the film: an astronaut experiences high levels of radiation in space and manages to survive, he returns to Earth as a melting man, and he escapes from the hospital and begins murdering people. As he melts more and more, he becomes even stronger.
The film never makes sense, but it is a gooey good time if you enjoy cheesetastic cinema.
