Enormously compelling and strange, THE IMPOSTER presents a tale so bizarre, so outrageous, you can't help but think that there's no way this could've really happened. Ultimately, this documentary chronicles an individual who's simultaneously loathsome and fascinating, and the things he does (and manages to pull off) are insane.
To say any more would be to spoil the fun (a relative word, as the scenario presented isn't exactly happy material) of watching the events unfold, and this film does a terrific job of telling this story in a cinematic and effective way.
Highly recommended.
