Review of The Impossible (2012) by Conner C — 29 Nov 2013
I think this film was made to create more awareness about tsunamis in Southeast Asia, but to me it felt like exploitation. The film doesn't worry about the countless Thai victims and is instead focused on the survival of every single white character.
The direction and acting isn't bad, and I don't think it was made with the wrong intentions; I just hope that at least a percentage of its revenue was donated to a tsunami relief fund.
