Well shot, melodramatic disaster flick from Bayona ("The Orphanage"). "Naomi Watts gives one of her finest, most physically commanding turns." "Technically impeccable, 'The Impossible' gives the brutal caprice of nature its due, never romanticizing it or demonizing it.
