Review of The Impossible (2012) by Alasdair B — 26 Apr 2014
The Impossible is an emotional film with stunning performances from Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts. Even the kid actors did great. The special effects are amazing and do the tragic event justice. It's interestingly filmed.
The handheld filming really works in this film. It's the story of a family separated during a huge tsunami that devastates thousands. They must survive and find their way back to each other. Not sure how this got a PG-13 rating, it is quite violent and has very strong themes and allot of destruction.
4.3 stars!
