The Immigrant is one of those movies that are just good but not good enough to see it twice, at least it was for me. I wouldn't sit through it again. The story is average, I like the effort of depicting the problem of selling one's body to survive, however it was not good nor deep enough.
But, Marion Cotillard and Joaquin Phoenix still deliver great performances. I cherished the cinematography because I found the lighting pretty special. The costumes were beautiful as well.
