Review of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009) by Alec B — 05 Apr 2013
It manages to retain surprising thematic consistency given the death of Heath Ledger so early in the film's production. I like that the battle of good and evil (or really imagination and fear according to Gilliam) plays out in such an fantastical setting and that it doesn't offer anything easy in the ending.
