Review of The Illusionist (2010) by Luke E — 05 Aug 2011
A very colourful and likeable animated film. Relys a lot on visuals and sequences, theres very little dialogue that sounds a little like a mix of French and English. I saw this last Tuesday at Nova. Its based on an unproduced screenplay by Jacques Tati, even the main character is based on him.
you'd think its a lot like other art house animations like Ghibli or Adam Elliot. Its very entaining and heart warming supurbly animated shame it didn't get the Oscar..
