Review of The Illusionist (2009) by Calum B — 13 Oct 2011
I'm not faulting the animation itself, which was stunning. But the story wasn't as fun as Triplets of Belleville was. I was confused as to why the guy kept buying this girl that he just met things that he couldn't really afford.
Why didn't the girl get a job herself and buy her own damn heels? It didn't make any sense. I was slightly disappointed, but the excelent character design made up for it somewhat.
