The animation is beautiful but as far as substance The Illusionist just is rather dull. Kudos for making a cartoon that can keep the viewers attention with very little dialogue but why? The connection between the girl and the magician was almost non-existent which some dialogue could have helped.
The story just wasn't all that interesting and really hurt a beautifully drawn cartoon.
