Review of The Illusionist (2006) by Maxime V — 11 Jul 2011
Set in the early 1900's in Vienna, this is a thriller and a love story about a young and talented magician Eisenheim (Edward Norton) who returns home after traveling the world. Once back home he crosses paths with his childhood romance the Duchess Sophie Von Teschen (Jessica Biel), when the romantic spark is re-kindle between them things become complicated as she is from royalty and a higher class, and is also betrothed to Prince Leopold ( Rufus Sewell).
This is a good movie with solid performance and a seamless plot with a good plot twist.
