Review of The Illusionist (2006) by Amber C — 28 Oct 2013
This is really well-written, and it has the most unexpected twist you'll ever see when you watch this film. I watched it with my dad, and we both loved it, and my dad is the kind of dad that doesn't like the Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings. When I love it. This film is nothing like that.
It's a joint love story, magic film, dramatic storyline... I could continue on forever, that's how many categories it hits with a hammer right on the head. That's a metaphor by the way, films can't do that.
If you've ever seen a magic performance that nobody knows how to do, you will love this film, as it is a magic performance. It will wow you so much that once you're finished, you're wondering why you're standing in a black room and all of the characters have vanished. That was a pun by the way.
