Review of The Ides of March (2011) by Arnman — 06 Oct 2011
This is an actors field day of a film. Director/actor Clooney and his company of actors sizzle. Gosling is on a real hot streak, and again gives a stellar performance. Hoffman, Giamatti, Tomei, turn on the heat, as does a beguiling Evan Rachel Wood.
It's terrific entertainment and a better than average film but I couldn't help think that it could have been so much more of a penetrating look at the political mess we are in.
