Review of The Ides of March (2011) by Jamesl — 12 Oct 2011
Johnny Rotten asked at their last show if you had ever felt cheated? Well, this film almost left me feeling that way. I felt like I got the first draft of the script and half of a movie. Each star had a powerful scene with Gosling but that was really the entire film.
Those scenes were great but could we have not gotten more with that much star power. I wanted more. "Moneyball" gave me too much Brad Pitt and not enough drama. This film did the opposite. Gosling is really shining as an actor.
