Review of The Ides of March (2011) by Denny D — 17 Apr 2012
This movie was George Clooney's baby, as he not only was he in a lead role, he produced, screenwrote, and directed, and he did it wonderfully. However, Clooney isn't the true star of this one, its Ryan Gosling who gives a terrific performence and owns his role.
I truly must add that 2011 was Gosling's year, not only giving his all for this movie, but "Crazy, Stupid Love" and my personal favorite "Drive". He's on fire. This movie shows you the true ugly and down right nasty side of politics, which is sad to say but its just the way it is.
