Review of The Ides of March (2011) by Matt L — 11 Jul 2012
The movie is technically done really well, which shouldn't surprise because Clooney likes subtle, delicately detailed movies. Lots of great, brilliant actors on this list too. Ryan Gosling's performance is quite similar to his work on Fracture with Anthony Hopkins, however his efforts here don't seem quite so impassioned.
I'm not a fan of political movies because they tend to be about non-emotions and rhetoric. So I didn't really get attached to anyone in this production, therefore I really didn't care about the outcome either way.
