Review of The Ides of March (2011) by Jon-Tyler S — 12 Mar 2013
Let me start out by saying that I've never been crazy about political thrillers. They're usually all the same like a young intern finds something out about the president and he is on the run to expose his secrets.
This is not that film.
This movie is really about the dirty tricks and schemes behind political races and things like that. The flick has a solid script and some solid directing by George Clooney, who shows he knows what he is doing behind the camera, and most importantly some solid performances from everyone. Ryan Gosling is really great in this flick and Clooney himself is wonderful but Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Paul Giamatti own this flick.
