Review of The Ides of March (2011) by Midlands M — 17 Oct 2013
Decent political thriller that has several interesting twists. I liked the pure political stuff with Stephen trying to decide between the two campaigns a lot more than everything with Molly. The subplot with her felt like a different movie and the dialogue in the scenes between her and Stephen was laughable.
I did like both Philip Seymour Hoffman and Paul Giamatti as the grizzled campaign managers. It's not George Clooney's best from a directorial standpoint, but it did enough to hold my interest until the end.
