Review of The Ides of March (2011) by Ben P — 08 May 2012
Not entirely bad, but also not as great as you could expect. The main character, played by Ryan Gosling, does seem insecure, weak and not as experienced as a man in his position should be; although the plot is indeed good enough, and it's loaded with interesting twists and very good performances from Gosling himself, Philip Hoffman and George Clooney.
"The Ides of March" is ultimately an interesting look inside the Democratic Party, a solid attempt from George Clooney as a director, and an outcome just as satisfactory.
