Review of The Ides of March (2011) by Ron S — 03 Jun 2012
Yep, quality film, Quality acting. Everything pretty solid. And I didn't think it was so predictable. With all the marketing behind it pre-Oscar time, I didn't realise it would be so cynical and cold.
But it is! So for that, I have more credibility for Clooney (particularly since his journey into screen-narcissism in The American). I have to say though that the whole Ryan Gosling 'thing' is getting a bit grating now.
He's in everything. He looks disinterested. But at the same time he's in control. What is it?
