Review of The Ice Storm (1997) by Sebastian G — 28 Aug 2007
A bland rather boring and depressing film, I think it would have been better as the novel it was originally adapted from. Although it highlights some real points about suburban upper class families and their grip to communicate and understand one another, it does so in a rather mundane way.
Seeming a little like American Beauty without the coolness, humour and overall feel, The Ice Storm is neither a bad film or great one.
