Review of The Ice Storm (1997) by Jerard W — 12 Mar 2009
There's just something about this film I didn't like. Probably the adult characters, the sense of foreboding and the titular ice storm itself; it could've been made more of seeing it was the title, maybe shot better so it looks sinister and beautiful at the same time.
Ang Lee surely is a master of cinema; he can do middle America, westerns, martial arts, Jane Austen and comic book films. This is a superb film, I just didn't like it.
