Review of The Ice Pirates (1984) by Kevin H — 02 Feb 2010
A great piece of early 80's "adventuretainment", Ice Pirates is a sometimes hilarious, sometimes thought-provoking story with great acting and some truly inventive scenes. Not your usual sci-fi story, it really does play more like a pirate film than a space opera.
Obviously made to cash in on Star Wars it does share some similarities but is a story all its own as well. Highly recommended if you can find it.
