Review of The Ice Pirates (1984) by R F — 15 Oct 2018
Growing up in the 80s this movie was a mainstay of cable television. Is it objectively good? No, probably not. But if you were a kid growing up in that era it was cheesily awesome on another level. What other movie has space herpes, kung fu robots, a young Ron Perlman, a pimp robot(way before Conan), and a climax involving a 5' afro? This is a truly amazing B-movie.
