Review of The Hustler (1961) by Fraser B — 11 Jan 2009
Newman is great, as ever, and when he's hustling through his pool game with Fats the film really comes alive. Unfortunately a big part of the runtime is devoted to seeing people lay around moaping, and the film suffers for it.
