Newman is top notch here..brilliant...still cant top his performance in "Hud" tho...anyways Jackie Gleason does a fine job as Fats and so does Scott...as others have said the cinematography is outstanding and the pool games intense.
..you can almost smell the cigarette smoke in the pool halls..it's that authentic..might check out "color of money" soon.
