Review of The Hustler (1961) by Darryn N — 28 May 2011
A classic about obsession, defeat, surface love and the drives of passion that force a person to push forward. Newman captures the pain and defeat of a loser that forces himself to move forward as a winner.
This film is constructed beautifully and resolves itself logically. A gem.
