Review of The Hurricane (1999) by Ben B — 13 Mar 2008
Definitely one of my favorite dramas. Despite its length, this movie kept my interest all the way through. Thanks to its superb acting by Denzel, and good acting from the rest of the cast, the characters seemed very real.
We see a huge transformation of character in Rubin throught the course of the film, and I love the way he changes from using hate to achieve success, to using love to achieve things in the end. One of Denzel Washington's best performances, and he earned a well deserved Oscar nomination for this.
