Review of The Hurricane (1999) by David S — 26 Feb 2012
The recommendation before watching this was that it was Denzel's best performance. I wasn't sure having seen 'Man On Fire', 'Deja Vu', 'American Gangster' and a number of his other biggest movies.
But its true. THIS is an impressive movie. It paints a picture on a character that stands true in any person whether you can relate to him directly or indirectly. Everyone has felt injustice in same way, shape, or form and you sympathize.
Denzel plays a fantastic Rubin Carter and gives himself completely to the character. THIS is up there with Malcolm X, Creasy, and a number of his other roles.
