First of all, The Hurricane is not a sports movie. It succeeds largely due to it's mesmerizing real life story and good performance from Denzel Washington. It is also a story of a disgraceful time in America depleted by the level of racial crimes. However, I did not enjoy or indulge in it as much as I did with Malcolm X, another Denzel film which also turns out to be against racism, but Denzel's character is extremely different in the two films.
