Review of The Huntsman: Winter's War (2016) by Jaclyn R — 23 Apr 2016
Snow White who?
The Huntsman: Winter's War is an exercise in what happens when a pre/sequel affectionately spits on its source material.
The Good:
Ravenna's creepy, incest brother from the first movie doesn't make an appearance (and, even though Freya is her sister, they don't even mention him).
The Bad:
The omission of creepy, incest brother is the good part.
If you can get over the narrator, the current-date dialogue, and the fact that the writer either fell asleep during the first film or just decided to ignore it altogether, you'll still be scratching your head trying to figure out why Hemsworth's Huntsman now sports an Irish accent.
