Review of The Huntsman: Winter's War (2016) by Madison B — 08 May 2016
AMAZING! It is far and few between that I like a movie enough to write a review about it. I was shocked when I saw the reviews. Let me tell you...if you were a fan of the first one like I was, GO SEE THIS. It's a rare occasion that a sequel out shines it's predecessor, but by George I think they did it. Details as to whyã<.
It has EVERYTHING that makes a movie great. There's action, romance, some witty banter, beautiful scenery and costumes, the plot flows nicelly, and the acting is top knotch. The fight scenes were fantastic....very badass. You can tell they spent a lot of time coordinating how The Huntsman could use their axes in different ways for battle. But I must say that my favorite part of the whole movie, was the costumes combined with CGI. It was like art. The outfits that the Ice Queen and the Evil Queen got to wear looked heavy and difficult to pull off, but they both were able to do so with such grace and sophistication....not to mention beauty. It has been a long while that I have seen a movie where it makes me sad that it's over....to the point where I want to immediately go back and see it again.
My advice to you. Don't pay attention to these snobs who think they know what makes a good film. Everyone's a critic. But a movie is supposed to shock, amaze, and entertain....and that is exactly what The Huntsman: Winter's War did.
