Review of The Hunt for Red October (1990) by Robyn M — 03 Apr 2009
Not nearly as good as Crimson Tide, but still a decent submarine movie. The reason this movie might not rank up there with Crimson tide is the slow storyline. Not much action or suspense occurs for the first hour and a half and even after that it is kept at a minumum, rather than action THFRO relies more on human drama (which works but not as well as the suspense an action of Crimson Tide or U571).
