Review of The Hunt for Red October (1990) by Thomas F — 12 Jul 2018
This is a classic for a good reason. Alec Baldwin plays CIA analyst Jack Ryan who is responsible for tracking Sean Connery, a rouge Soviet submarine captain. The dialogue and plot had me engaged from start to finish.
You could just feel the cold war tension on screen. Strong cast really delivered. Sam Neil and Scott Glenn give solid supporting performances. Sean Connery gives a fantastic perfomance that only he could give and Alec Baldwin makes me wish he got another chance to play Jack Ryan.
Love the simpler action scenes from these older movies where you can actually follow what is happening on screen.
