Review of The Hunt for Red October (1990) by Andrew B — 10 Sep 2012
A very smart, realistic, action-packed submarine movie, that stars Sean Connery. The Hunt For Red October pretty much had everything in it to make a good movie, so I guess that's why I thought it was a good movie.
I thought the action scenes in this movie were really well done and I thought the atmosphere of the film was done super well. Sean Connery also dominates in this movie by playing the Captain, Marko Ramius.
Alec Baldwin was very good in this film as well by playing the Tom Clancy character Jack Ryan. Pretty much the whole in this movie did there job well actually, like Sam Neil was good, James Earl Jones was good, Scott Glenn was good and Tim Curry was good.
So there's nothing much wrong with this movie, I guess at times it does feel a little slow and I guess some people could get bored when watching this film, but for me I liked it a lot and I didn't find it boring at all.
I say if your in the mood for a good action movie than give The Hunt For Red October a watch because it's very entertaining and it's very exciting at times.
