Review of The Hunt (2013) by Kj P — 11 Jan 2014
Mads Mikkelsen drives this film into superstardom, as this french film becomes more than just a picture of right and wrong, and being wrongfully accused by children, and more of a life lesson that even if bad things happen to you, just wait it out.
Once Lucas is accused by a little girl of showing her his private parts one day at school, every parent in the community is outraged and he must overcome the hatred as we watch to see if this is true or not.
Superbly directed and fantastically written, you almost feel on edge a bit while you watch this film, because it feels documentary-like, due to the true-to-life performances delivered by the entire cast.
I loved every second of this film and I was engaged the whole time. One of my favourites of 2013!
