Review of The Hunt (2013) by Rostek P — 15 Jan 2014
I'd be hard pressed to find a more devastating film than Thomas Vinterberg's "The Hunt". This tale of an innocent lie that spreads like wildfire is as haunting and powerful as any of the classic films of the Scandinavian tradition.
In fact, many scenes in this film reminded me of Bergman. Mads Mikkelsen's performance is breathtaking, strong and vulnerable. It's too bad he won't get an Oscar nom, even despite his relative fame in the States.
None the less, see this film!
