Review of The Hunt (2013) by Lindsay B — 09 Feb 2014
I thought that I would think more highly of this fim. I love Mikkelsen and I love Danish film, however, I'm torn by two conflicting impressions of this film. One, that the portrayal of a modern-day (though small town) witch hunt is superb and frightening.
Two, that though they touch on it, false reporting is very very rare, and I hope that the portrayal of unfounded sexual molestation charges doesn't influence the way people watching the film understand that.
Though I have a conflicting feeling about the story, it's execution (most definitely due to Mikkelsen) is well done.
